TRAIN LIKE DEMOCRACY DEPENDS ON IT…

Portland Metro Indivisible Network, together with its co-sponsoring groups, is convening a two-day intensive training in non-violent resistance for organizers and activists. This event will build on the foundations laid by Resistance Bootcamp 2025 to emphasize movement resilience and sustainability through the creation of affinity groups, development of leadership pipelines to avoid burnout, and establishing frameworks for conflict resolution within our groups and networks.

Two Days.

Hundreds of Activists.

One Mass Movement of Nonviolent Resistance.

Join us in Portland again this June for two days of hands-on activist training. This event will offer timely instruction to empower grassroots activists and community organizers with the skills they need to build more sustainable local groups while also helping develop a more resilient non-violent resistance movement. From a workshop on starting affinity groups to another on broadening leadership circles, every session aims to be more interactive and allow ample time for teach-back exercises to better equip participants to return to their groups as confident and effective peer educators. In this way, we hope to leverage the Bootcamp training experience as we expand training efforts throughout Oregon.

Please read the course descriptions carefully before registering.

If you did not attend Resistance Bootcamp 2025 and you haven’t attended a Resistance 101 training on another occasion, the trainers strongly recommend attending one of the scheduled zoom presentations of Resistance 101. Resistance 101 introduces principles and practices of nonviolent resistance, protest logistics, protesters’ rights, and basic deescalation techniques and is foundational to sessions of Resistance Bootcamp 2.0.

Trainers also strongly recommend that all participants attending sessions in the Sustainable Safety Practice Track have attended the Nonviolent Direct Action Marshals Training in the last year, as material in this course is foundational to the entire safety curriculum
